About Takiro

Takiro grew up watching his father, Maxim, pour his passion into painting and music. Their home was always filled creative energy and art was part of everyday life.

At the same time, he developed a deep love for anime and its wild, imaginative spirit. He was drawn to the vibrant colours, over-the-top personalities, and the whacky storylines that anime is known for.

Takiro travelled to Japan and explored the tucked-away manga shops scattered through Tokyo. Everything from soft, cartoony sketches to bold, adult-themed graphic artworks. And began incorporating that same diversity into his own works.

His work today is a blend of the hyper-stylized energy of anime, and a mix of manga influences. Takiro creates pieces that feel playful and provocative.
